Mikala McCurry

Mikala provides outreach, marketing and public relations support for the Air Force Culture and Language Center. Mikala is involved with a variety of community organizations, including the Public Relations Council of Alabama’s Montgomery Chapter, the Family Sunshine Center Change Champions and Leadership Montgomery.

What is your main role at your company?

Our division provides outreach, marketing, and public relations support for the Air Force Culture and Language Center. We tell amazing stories about the strategic impact of culture and language skills, training, and education on the Air Force mission.

What is your number one career accomplishment or highlight?

I was recently selected as the 2022 Outstanding Employee of the Year at the Metro Professional Services corporate level. My nomination package was selected out of nearly 100 applicants across the United States during a competitive selection process.

How are you involved in your community?

I serve as the President-Elect for the Public Relations Council of Alabama – Montgomery Chapter, a member of the Family Sunshine Center Change Champions young adult group, a member of the Child Protect Children’s Advocacy Center Junior Executive Board, and am a Leadership Montgomery Alumni—Torchbearers Class XII.

What is your key to success?

My two main keys to success are trusting God’s plan and being a light to others.
